Global Accessibility Awareness Day - how our online pharmacy encourages accessibility

25th April 2025

Accessibility is sometimes not as much of a priority as it should be in web design.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day aims to redress this, by highlighting accessibility issues in digital services and showing how digital accessibility can be improved for the one billion people who have some form of disability or impairment.

This year, Global Accessibility Awareness Day takes place on May 15th.

At Pharmacy Direct GB, we have tried to do our small part to improve accessibility online. Our new website was built with accessibility in mind.

Items are divided using conditions, so you can easily find what you are looking for.

The clean, crisp design adjusts automatically for use on mobile, tablet or desktop, so you can use the site easily on all devices.

In fact, accessibility is at the heart of our business at Pharmacy Direct GB, and not just in the digital world.

We understand it can be hard for people to get to a physical pharmacy, or even to their GP.

That’s why we offer online consultations.

Simply complete the consultation questionnaire at any time of day or night and our pharmacist will be able to process it quickly, ensuring you get your medication delivered to your home.

Deliveries are made securely and discreetly.

If you work shifts, have mobility issues or you simply don’t live near a pharmacist it can be a challenge to get prescriptions.

With the accessible service from Pharmacy Direct GB, that is no longer the case.

So why not visit our online pharmacy this Global Accessibility Awareness Day?
